How to raise an Axis Bank credit card complaint: step by step
Step 1 (Level 1): Contact Axis Bank customer care
Call: 1800 4030 or 1800 8911 (toll-free), or 1860 419 5555 / 1860 500 5555
Email: email.services@axis.bank.in
Online: the "Raise a Complaint" option on the Axis Support page, internet banking or the Axis Mobile app
Branch: any Axis Bank branch
Axis's grievance policy says it gives a final response within 30 days, or within the timelines set by RBI, NPCI or card networks for things like frauds, disputes and chargebacks. If it decides to reject your complaint fully or partly, it's automatically reviewed by Axis's Internal Ombudsman first.
Step 2 (Level 2): Escalate to the Nodal Officer
If you're not satisfied with the Level 1 response, escalate to the Nodal Officer:
Email: nodal.officer@axis.bank.in
Online: the "Escalate to Nodal Officer" form on the Axis Support page
Phone: 080-61865200 (9:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday, except 2nd and 4th Saturdays and bank holidays)
Post: Nodal Officer, Axis Bank Ltd, NPC1, 5th Floor, "Gigaplex", Plot No I.T.5, MIDC, Airoli Knowledge Park, Airoli, Navi Mumbai – 400708
For complaints about a specific branch, Axis also lists a Circle Nodal Officer for each region on its support page.
Step 3 (Level 3): Escalate to the Principal Nodal Officer
If you're still not satisfied, escalate to the Principal Nodal Officer:
Email: pno@axis.bank.in
Online: the "Escalate to Principal Nodal Officer" form on the Axis Support page
Phone: 080-61865098 (9:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday, except 2nd and 4th Saturdays and bank holidays)
Post: Principal Nodal Officer, Axis Bank Ltd, NPC1, 5th Floor, "Gigaplex", Plot No I.T.5, MIDC, Airoli Knowledge Park, Airoli, Navi Mumbai – 400708
Worth knowing: Axis's September 2026 policy says that once a Level 1 complaint has been rejected and reviewed by its Internal Ombudsman, your next step is normally the RBI Ombudsman. You can still go to the Nodal Officer or Principal Nodal Officer if you have new information you want the bank to review, but Axis treats that as a fresh complaint.
Step 4 (Level 4): Go to the RBI Ombudsman
If Axis hasn't resolved your complaint within 30 days (or the longer RBI, NPCI or card network timeline), or you're not satisfied with its response:
Online: cms.rbi.org.in, where you can also track your complaint
Email: crpc@rbi.org.in
Help line (not for filing): 14448
Post: Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre (CRPC), Reserve Bank of India, 4th Floor, Sector 17, Chandigarh – 160017
You must file within 90 days of Axis's timeline expiring or its last reply, whichever is later. It's free, and you don't need a lawyer or an agent.
Axis Bank's complaint turnaround times
