How to raise an RBL Bank credit card complaint in 2026: RBL credit card customer care number, complaint email ID, WhatsApp number, Head of Card Services and Principal Nodal Officer emails, and when to go to the RBI Ombudsman

A charge on your RBL credit card you don't recognise. A refund stuck in limbo, reward points that never credited, or a fee you were told would be waived. You've called RBL customer care, and you're still waiting.

RBL Bank has a four-level grievance process, with a dedicated escalation email just for credit cards. Here's how to raise an RBL credit card complaint and escalate it, step by step.

How to raise an RBL credit card complaint: step by step

Step 1 (Level 1): Register your complaint

  • Call: 022 6232 7777 (banking and credit cards)

  • Email: cardservices@rbl.bank.in for credit cards, or customercare@rbl.bank.in

  • Online: the "Raise a Query / Request / Complaint" web form on RBL's website, internet banking (Requests → Raise a Query / Request / Complaint), the MyBank app or the RBL Cares chatbot

  • WhatsApp: "Hi RBL" to +91 84335 98888

  • Branch: any RBL Bank branch

RBL acknowledges every complaint with a Service Reference (SR) number by SMS or email. Keep it; you'll need it to escalate.

Step 2 (Level 2): Escalate to the Head – Credit Card Services

If your issue isn't resolved, is delayed, or you're not satisfied, escalate using your previous complaint number. RBL's grievance process says to escalate if you haven't had a response within 10 calendar days.

For credit cards, Level 2 is the Head – Credit Card Services:

  • Email: headcardservice@rbl.bank.in

(For banking complaints, Level 2 is the Regional Nodal Officer at regionalnodalofficer@rbl.bank.in.)

Step 3 (Level 3): Escalate to the Principal Nodal Officer

If the issue persists, escalate to RBL's Principal Nodal Officer:

  • Email: principalnodalofficer@rbl.bank.in

  • Phone: 022 7143 2700

  • Post: Principal Nodal Officer, RBL Bank Ltd., One World Centre, Tower 2B, 9th Floor, 841, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel West, Mumbai – 400013

Quote every earlier SR number and attach RBL's replies.

If RBL decides to reject your complaint fully or partly, RBI rules require its Internal Ombudsman to review it before the final reply. That happens inside the bank; you don't need to apply for it.

Step 4 (Level 4): Go to the RBI Ombudsman

If RBL hasn't resolved your complaint within 30 days, or you're not satisfied with its final reply:

  • Online: cms.rbi.org.in, where you can also track your complaint

  • Email: crpc@rbi.org.in

  • Help line (not for filing): 14448

  • Post: Reserve Bank of India, 4th Floor, Sector 17, Chandigarh – 160017

You must file within 90 days of the bank's timeline expiring or its last reply, whichever is later. It's free, and you don't need a lawyer or an agent.

Problem

What the RBI rules say

Card not closed after you asked

The bank must close it within 7 working days of your request (once dues are cleared), or pay you ₹500 a day until it's closed

Unauthorised transaction

Report it within 3 working days of the alert and your liability is zero

Card charged but merchant not paid

POS and online card payments must be reversed within T+5 days, or the bank pays ₹100 for every day of delay

Changes to charges

The bank must tell you at least 30 days before a change in charges takes effect

How to write an RBL complaint that gets resolved

  • Your name, registered mobile number and email

  • The last 4 digits of your RBL credit card

  • Your SR number(s), with copies of RBL's replies

  • Transaction date, amount and reference number

  • What went wrong, and the exact fix you want ("reverse the ₹500 annual fee charged on 3 September", not "fix my bill")
