How to raise an ICICI credit card complaint in 2026: ICICI customer care number, complaint email ID, the escalation steps up to the Principal Nodal Officer (with email), and when to go to the RBI Ombudsman

A charge on your ICICI credit card you don't recognise. A refund that hasn't come back, an annual fee that should have been waived, or reward points that never showed up. You called ICICI customer care, and your complaint is still open.

Don't stop there. ICICI Bank has a step-by-step escalation process, and above it sits the RBI Ombudsman, which is free and can order the bank to compensate you. Here's how to raise an ICICI credit card complaint and escalate it.

How to raise an ICICI credit card complaint: step by step

Step 1: Contact ICICI customer care

  • Call: 1800 1080 (toll-free)

  • Email: customer.care@icicibank.com

  • Online: the complaint form on ICICI's website, internet banking or the iMobile app

  • Branch: speak to branch officials, or note your complaint in the branch's complaint book

You'll get a Service Request (SR) number. Keep it; you need it at every later step.

Step 2 (Level 1): Escalate to the Head – Phone Banking

If you're not happy with the response from customer care, ICICI's first escalation level is the Head – Phone Banking:

  • Online: the "Send an Email" form under Level 1 on ICICI's complaints page

  • Post: download the Level 1 complaint form from the same page and send it to ICICI Bank Ltd., Phone Banking Center, ICICI Bank Tower, Financial District, Gachibowli, Hyderabad – 500032

  • Email: ICICI doesn't publish a direct email for this level; the online form is its email channel

ICICI says it will reply within 4 business days of a posted form reaching the bank.

Step 3 (Level 2): Escalate to the Head – Customer Service Quality

If the Level 1 response doesn't resolve it, escalate to ICICI's Head – Customer Service Quality:

  • Online: the Level 2 form on ICICI's complaints page. You'll need your account or card number and your Level 1 SR number

  • Post: send the Level 2 complaint form to the Head – Escalated Complaints, ICICI Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank Towers, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai – 400051

  • Email: no direct email is published for this level; use the online form

ICICI says it replies within 4 business days of a posted form reaching the bank.

Step 4 (Level 3): Escalate to the Principal Nodal Officer

If you're still not satisfied, escalate to ICICI's Principal Nodal Officer, the senior-most grievance official:

  • Online: the Level 3 form on ICICI's complaints page. You'll need your account or card number and your Level 2 SR number

  • Email: headservicequality@icicibank.com, the email ICICI's grievance redressal policy gives for escalations to the Principal Nodal Officer

  • Post: send the Level 3 complaint form to the Principal Nodal Officer, ICICI Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank Towers, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai – 400051

ICICI says it replies within 4 business days of a posted form reaching the bank. Quote every earlier SR number and attach ICICI's previous replies.

If ICICI decides to reject your complaint fully or partly, RBI rules require its Internal Ombudsman to review it before the final reply. That happens inside the bank; you don't need to apply for it.

Step 5: Go to the RBI Ombudsman

If ICICI hasn't resolved your complaint within 30 days, or you're not satisfied with its final reply, you can go to the RBI Ombudsman:

  • Online: cms.rbi.org.in, where you can also track your complaint

  • Email: crpc@rbi.org.in

  • Help line (not for filing): 14448

It's free, and you don't need a lawyer or an agent.
