How to raise an SBI credit card complaint in 2026: SBI Card customer care numbers (including toll-free), complaint and grievance email IDs, every escalation level up to the Principal Nodal Officer, and when to go to the RBI Ombudsman

A charge you don't recognise on your SBI credit card. A reversal that never came, a closure request that's going nowhere, or recovery calls you shouldn't be getting. You've called SBI Card customer care, and you're still waiting.

Here's the good news: SBI Card has a clear escalation path, with a named email address at every level, and above it sits the RBI Ombudsman. One thing to know first: SBI Card is run by SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd, a separate company from State Bank of India. Credit card complaints go to SBI Card, not to an SBI branch.

How to raise an SBI credit card complaint: step by step

Step 1: Contact SBI Card customer care

  • Call: 1860 180 1290, 1860 500 1290 or 1800 180 1290 (toll-free), or 39 02 02 02 with your local STD code

  • Email: customercare@sbicard.com

  • Online: the SBI Card website, the SBI Card mobile app or its chatbot

  • Post: Manager – Customer Services, SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd, DLF Infinity Towers, Tower C, 12th Floor, Block 2, Building 3, DLF Cyber City, Gurugram – 122002

Every complaint gets a reference number. Keep it; you'll need it at each later step.

SBI Card aims to resolve normal complaints within 7 working days.

Step 2: Escalate through the Customer Service Helpline or Customer Service Head

If customer care doesn't resolve it, SBI Card's complaint workflow asks you to escalate:

  • Phone: Customer Service Helpline, 1860-180-7777

  • Email: CustomerServiceHead@sbicard.com

Quote your complaint reference number and explain what's still unresolved.

Step 3: Escalate to the Nodal Officer

If you're still not satisfied, write to SBI Card's Nodal Officer at its Grievance Redressal Cell:

  • Email: Nodalofficer@sbicard.com

  • Phone: 1860-180-7777

  • Post: Nodal Officer, PO Bag 28 – GPO, New Delhi – 110001

Step 4: Escalate to the Principal Nodal Officer

If the Nodal Officer's response doesn't resolve it, escalate to the Principal Nodal Officer, the senior-most grievance official:

  • Email: PrincipalNodalOfficer@sbicard.com

  • Phone: 1860-180-7777

  • Post: DLF Infinity Towers, Tower C, 10th–12th Floor, Block 2, Building 3, DLF Cyber City, Gurugram – 122002 (Haryana)

SBI Card's grievance policy also lists the Customer Service Head as a final escalation point if you're unhappy with the Principal Nodal Officer's response.

If SBI Card rejects your complaint fully or partly, its policy says the case is referred to its Internal Ombudsman within 20 days, and you get the final decision within 30 days of your complaint.

Step 5: Go to the RBI Ombudsman

SBI Card is an NBFC, but it's still covered by the RBI Ombudsman scheme. If SBI Card hasn't replied within 30 days, or you're not satisfied with its final reply, you can file a complaint:

  • Online: cms.rbi.org.in, where you can also track it

  • Email: crpc@rbi.org.in

  • Help line (not for filing): 14448

It's free, and you don't need a lawyer or an agent.
